4/23/10

So, lately, I haven't been doing the triathlon training. I've been doing p90x. It's really awesome. I'm rocked sore. I would seriously recommend it to anyone who is in halfway decent shape. I would love to be able to do pull-ups and look good with my shirt off. Anyway, I have to do Japanese homework. I'll post more up later.

UPDATE: So, today, I mildly ruined my Jenny Craig dinner. I went with my fiancee to Wing Stop. They have awesome wings, but I'm not gonna lie, their "Original Hot" flavor is weak. If you want spice, get their "Atomic" wings.

So, I talked to the coach of the Arizona Tricats today and he said that he was going to plan a training program for me and I'm so excited. He's very well known in this area and I feel really lucky to have him help me. Also, everyone on the team is really nice, but I'm fairly intimidated by them. I don't exactly look as good as them with my shirt off. I'll get there, though.

Hey Everybody!

My name is John and I am a 25 year old guy from Tucson, AZ. My weight has been up and down for the last 4 years and I'm ready to train to be a triathlete and achieve my dream of one day doing an Olympic triathlon. I started out at 300lbs in February of 2007, reached my lowest in January of 2009 at 200lbs, but then since then, I've gone back up to 245lbs.

I'm in pretty good shape. I can ride my bike 30mi or so pretty easily, but my running is poor and my swimming is worse than poor, to say the least. haha. I can walk/run 3mi and I struggle to swim 1500m without resting ever 50m or so.

Guys, I'm going to be honest. I have a lot of issues in my life, one being a brain injury that makes managing my school life pretty difficult, but I would seriously like to do this just to be able to tell myself that I'm able to do more than it seems like I can do. I also feel like if I can get myself through even just a sprint triathlon, it would give me so much confidence to try even harder to reach accomplishments in my life.

If anyone has any suggestions or comments, please let me know!

Here's the training that I'm going to do. I'm really excited! I'll let you know how it's going later!
